MOULTRIE — The closing of state Route 172 in West Township in Columbiana County scheduled to begin this week has been postponed to Monday, said Becky McCarty, an Ohio Department of Transportation spokeswoman.

McCarty said the extension was simply a change in the schedule by the contractor.

The road will be closed for 21 days at Moultrie for bridge repair work. The $457,677 project also includes the rehabilitation of a bridge on state Route 518 near Millport. The completion date is Oct. 31.
