X GEYSERVILLE, Calif. — The Stryker Sonoma Winery was the setting May 16 for the 5:30 p.m. outdoor wedding of Stephanie Rowe and David Helms, both of Alexandria, Va. The Rev. Blane Ellsworth officiated.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, is a daughter of Jeanette Rowe, 6756 Bristlewood Drive, Boardman, and the late William Rowe. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in management information system and is an assistant administrator for Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing, a division of the Transportation Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Helms of Conway, S.C., and the late Zelda Lee Helms. A graduate of California State University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, he is director of professional services with Cloud Shield Technologies.
The bride wore an ivory sheath gown of beaded and embroidered net over stretch charmeuse fashioned with a gathered empire bodice and a chapel train.
After a reception at the winery, the weekend celebration continued with a winery tour and a picnic in northern California. A postnuptial reception took place June 29 at the Fonderlac Country Club in New Springfield.
The couple spent a monthlong wedding trip to New Zealand and French Polynesia.
They live at 2709 11th St. N., Arlington.
