X BOARDMAN — St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park was the setting May 31 for the marriage of Jodi R. Franklin, 256 Sawmill Run Drive, Canfield, and Ronald T. Weaver, 7898 Herbert Road, Canfield.

The Rev. Jeff Hugus officiated for the 11 a.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jane Filmer and Ted and Jeannie Filmer, all of Canfield, and the groom is the son of Pat and Jack Weaver, also of Canfield.

Afterward the couple greeted guests during a reception at A La Cart in Canfield.

The bride wore a strapless ivory and silver taffeta gown designed with a deep sweetheart neckline, pleated wrap bodice and a chapel train. It was encrusted with crystals, beading, sequins and metallic embroidery.

Wearing black gowns were the honor attendant, Dawn Calderone of Boardman, and the bridesmaid, Jordan Kay Franklin of Canfield, daughter of the bride.

Performing the duties of best man was Dr. Michael Weaver of Canfield, brother of the groom, and the bride’s son, Andrew Franklin of Canfield, served as groomsman.

Mrs. Weaver graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education and earned a master’s in reading and literacy at Walden University. She is a seventh-grade reading teacher with Alliance City Schools.

Mr. Weaver is the owner of J and R Landscaping in Canfield.

The couple live in Canfield.
