DIANA AWAD JOHN SCROCCO

X YOUNGSTOWN — Married at 3:30 p.m. May 25 St. Maron Church were Diana Lin Awad, a daughter of Dr. Mounir and Linda Awad, and Dr. John David Scrocco, a son of Frank and Rosemary Scrocco, all of Canfield.

Monsignor Assad Awad and the Rev. Gary George officiated.

After a reception at Mr. Anthony’s, the couple left on a wedding trip to London. They live in Copley.

Swarovski crystals embellished the bride’s white silk strapless ball gown.

Platinum gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Dr. Marie, Jeanine and Michele Awad, and the bridesmaids, Sheena and Cassandra Dohar, Pamela Soda and Corinne Ferranti. Junior bridesmaids were Juliette Palusak and Izabella Scragg, and flower girls were Jacqueline Palusak and Malana Scrocco.

Best men were Frank Jr. and Anthony Scrocco, and groomsmen were Michael Dohar III, Michael Timko, Christopher Malito, Dr. Nicholas Honda and Joshua Hiznay.

The couple graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with bachelor’s degrees. She also earned a master’s at Kent State University, where she will begin a doctoral program and will be a teaching fellow in August. The groom is an internal medicine physician and chief resident at Summa Health System in Akron, and will begin a cardiology fellowship at MetroHealth/University Hospitals in Cleveland. He earned his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
