Boardman trustees place safety services levy on fall ballot

BOARDMAN — After an executive session to discuss personnel and pending or imminent litigation, township trustees passed a resolution late tonight to place a 2.2-mill safety services levy on the November ballot.

The levy would raise about $2 million annually, officials said. The Vindicator objected to a levy being discussed behind closed doors. Under Ohio’s Open Meetings Law, only specific topics may be discussed in executive session.
