CANFIELD CITY

July 14

Assault on a juvenile: An 8-year-old child was pulled out of his chair by the neck by a known male in the 400 block of Fairview Ave.

Theft: Six to eight car or truck engines were stolen at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, in a fenced-in area behind the Agricultural building. The gate was left open.

Burglary: A Garmin GPS system and $18 in change were stolen from a home in the 40 block of Saybrook Drive.

July 15

Bad check: A 42-year-old Canfield woman passed a check returned for insufficient funds for $73.36 at Bernard Daniels Lumber Co., 250 Railroad St.

Drugs: A 25-year-old Boardman woman was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found two packs of rolling papers in her vehicle at W. Main and Edwards streets.

Canine assist: The K-9 unit assisted Youngstown and Austintown police in a search in the 800 block of South Schenley Ave.

Shoplifting: A 16-year-old Canfield boy was arrested after being accused of stealing a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., and charged with being a delinquent child by way of theft.

Drug paraphernalia: A 30-year-old North Jackson Man was arrested at West Main Street and Fairway Drive after police found a crack pipe and six Clonazepam pills, a Methylin pill and 44 Paroxethine.

Theft: A blue mountain bike and two black cables bike locks were stolen at the Villager Apartments, 440 Fairground Blvd.

July 14

Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into at a home in the 600 block of Duke Circle and a man was arrested.

Fraud: A victim reported his signature was forged on documents in the 300 block of Lynhaven Road.

Trespassing: A man was arrested for trespassing at a home in the 2000 block of Amberly Ave.

Theft: Lawn furniture and lights were stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Hamman Drive.

Breaking and entering: An unattached garage was entered and items were stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Duke Circle. A Youngstown man was charged with breaking and entering, criminal damaging, possessing criminal tools and resisting arrest.

Burglary: A Dell Inspiron laptop was taken from a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.

Burglary: A PlayStation and X-Box games and movies were taken from a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Burglary: A DVD player and a 32-inch television were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of New Road.

Forgery: Drugs were obtained by forgery at the pharmacy at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Drugs were taken from a purse at home in the 30 block of N. Roanoke Ave.

Burglary: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.

Assault: An 18-year-old man was issued a summons for assaulting a 17-year-old female at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: Two females and a male were arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

July 15

Forgery: Checks were forged from a victim’s account at a home in the 3000 block of New Road.

Obstructing official business: A man was jailed after being arrested for obstructing official business at South Meridian Road and Nottingham Drive.

Theft: $35.01 in fuel was stolen at McQuaid’s, 5160 Mahoning Ave.

Inducing panic: A male threatened suicide with a shotgun at a home in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Burglary: Extensive damage was done to a house in the 100 block of Aldrich Drive.

Criminal mischief: Items were thrown around in the yard at a home in the 6000 block of Kirk Road.

July 16

Theft: An unauthorized withdrawal was made from an account at First Place Bank, 101 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: An unauthorized withdrawal was made from Home Savings Bank, 4259 Kirk Road.

Telephone harassment: Reported at a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Lloyd Elementary School, 5705 Norquest Blvd.

Theft: $30 in fuel was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made to an ex-girlfriend by a new girlfriend.

Theft: Keys and belongings were stolen from a vehicle at Pizza Hut, 1705 S. Raccoon Road.

July 17

Drug abuse: A man was arrested at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road, for disorderly conduct and on drug charges. He insisted on going to St. Elizabeth Health Center were he fled on foot on Belmont Avenue.

Identity theft: An American Express account was opened by another at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Theft: A man was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart.

Identity theft: Credit card accounts were opened in a victim’s name at a home in the 400 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Theft: Two male juveniles are suspects in a theft at Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

July 18

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a broken pipe, in the 4000 block of Lake Road.

Theft by deception: An 81-year-old resident of an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive was stolen from by deception. Accused is a 43-year-old woman.

Aggravated menacing: A male suspect is accused of menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon, a 9mm pistol, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Meridian Road and Burkey Road. Police also found the man had $1,596 in cash in his pocket.

Theft: Restaurant equipment was taken from a fenced-in area at KQC, 1520 S. Raccoon Road.

Menacing: Threats were made to destroy property at a home in the 3000 block of Darbyshire Drive.

Auto theft: A 1985 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen from a home in the 500 block of S. Raccoon Road.

July 19

Breaking and entering: A rock was thrown through a window and cash was taken from the register at Salsita’s, 5495 Clarkins Drive.

Theft: Two cases of beer worth $27.98 was stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Menacing: A female was being menaced at Infocision, 5749 Interstate Blvd.

Telephone harassment: A woman reported being harassed at a home in the 100 block of Parkgate Ave.

Telephone harassment: A woman was a victim of telephone harassment at a home in the 3000 block of High Meadow Drive.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was issued a summons for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Wal-Mart.

Theft: A 2007 Freightliner was broken into and a wallet, Ohio license and credit cards stolen.

July 20

Theft: 14 Adderall pills were reported missing at a home in the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.

Criminal damaging: A windshield on a 1995 Honda Civic was broken out at a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge St.

Breaking and entering: Two garages were entered and power tools and brass and copper fittings were taken at a home in the 2000 block of County Line Road.

Breaking and entering: An unattached garage was broken into and numerous tools were stolen in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive.

Drug offense: Two suspects were arrested, a Youngstown man on charges of possession of cocaine and a Girard woman for possession of a crack pipe, cocaine and a syringe at Raccoon Road and Burkey Road.
