Burgeson 50th observed by doing volunteer work

HOUSTON — Friends and family members joined Mr. and Mrs. John W. Burgeson, 8119 Bideford Drive, formerly of Youngstown, as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2 by working at a Habitat for Humanity site in Tomball, Texas.

Later that day, they were honored by their eight children, many of their 12 grandchildren and friends during a dinner party.

The former Carol Lee Royal and Mr. Burgeson were united in marriage July 26, 1958, at Tabernacle United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.

Mr. Burgeson is retired from IBM. His wife is a Presbyterian minister, most recently serving in Rico, Colo.
