HUBBARD

July 12

Criminal damaging: A man in the 700 block of Gary Drive found feces in his swimming pool.

July 13

Menacing: A man told authorities that a group of people threatened, chased and struck the vehicle of his wife as she delivered newspapers in the 400 block of Ravine Drive.

July 14

Criminal mischief: Police said a vehicle likely damaged a grassy area in a cemetery off Maple Grove Avenue.

July 15

Theft: A woman discovered gasoline was stolen from her vehicle in the 800 block of West Park Avenue.

Theft: A man told police his son’s bicycle was taken while the son was at a North Main Street business.

July 16

Assault: A man reported having been assaulted in the 100 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

Criminal mischief: An Elmwood Drive woman saw that someone tossed toilet paper onto her property.

LIBERTY

July 12

Theft: A Canfield woman, 33, was charged after a cell phone charger and two connectors were stolen from Radio Shack, 3551 Belmont Ave.

Theft: A Girard man in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue reported a $200 global positioning system device stolen from his car.

July 13

Drugs/stolen property: A vehicle registration check in the 1300 block of Church Hill Road confirmed a stolen car, after which police nabbed a 24-year-old Warren man nearby on charges of receiving stolen property, driving under suspension and operating a vehicle impaired. He also faced one count of possession of drug-abuse instruments when, authorities said, they found a hypodermic needle.

Theft: A Tiffin, Ohio, man reported the theft of a satellite radio and GPS device from his vehicle while in the 1600 block of Motor Inn Drive.

Criminal damaging: A Campbell man staying at a Motor Inn Drive motel told police a Youngstown man, 26, jumped on the hood of accuser’s car, causing dents and scratches.

Criminal damaging: A Euclid Boulevard man said someone tossed a rock, striking his double-pane, sliding-glass window and causing $350 worth of damage.

July 14

Arrest: A traffic stop on state Route 193 resulted in a 31-year-old Youngstown man’s arrest on a warrant from Mahoning County charging him with a probation violation.

Theft: A Girard woman, 40, was charged, accused of deliberately failing to scan $63 worth of groceries at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Arrest: Officers picked up a 53-year-old Youngstown man at Forum Health Northside Medical Center who was wanted on a charge of aggravated arson.

Bad checks: An employee with a Belmont Avenue doctor’s office reported two personal checks totaling $685 were returned for nonsufficient funds

July 15

Theft: A Cincinnati man in the 4400 block of Belmont Avenue saw that someone had smashed his vehicle’s window with a brick before stealing a $400 GPS device.

Burglary: A Holly Drive woman discovered a hole had been cut in a screen door, and that $100 was missing.

Truck theft: A worker for Margala Sons Inc., 2640 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, noticed someone stole and drove a 1989 Ford F-350 truck through a chain-link fence.

Burglary: A Kris Lane woman found out someone had entered her home via a bedroom window before taking children’s clothing.

July 16

Counterfeit: An employee with a Belmont Avenue business found a phony $20 bill while preparing a bank deposit.

Theft: A Yvonne Drive woman told authorities she never received a package containing pots and pans that had been delivered to her residence.

Vandalism: Someone jumped over a fence at the Logan Swimming Club Inc., 3245 Logan Way, before tossing feces into the swimming pool.

July 17

Theft: Police issued a summons to a 24-year-old Campbell woman accused of stealing $44 worth of hygiene and feminine products from Giant Eagle.

GIRARD

July 16

Theft: A Louis Avenue woman discovered her purse missing from her home.

Possible theft: A vehicle’s rear license plate was lost or stolen in the 30 block of East Howard Street.

Theft: A North State Street woman told police someone has been stealing her mail for at least three weeks.

July 17

Trespassing: A Washington Avenue woman told officers someone entered her husband’s car, and that she found the vehicle’s registration and other papers in her front yard.
