X NEW MIDDLETOWN — Stephanie Grace Kershner and Joshua Ryan Quillen were married June 14 at Zion Lutheran Church by the Revs. Larry Klinker and Ann Tiemeyer.

Jeffrey and Susan Kershner of Columbiana are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Gerald and Sue Quillen of Dover.

After a reception at Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana, the couple left for a honeymoon trip to Maine. They live in New York City.

The bride’s white chiffon mermaid-style gown featured a cowl-draped neckline, flared angel sleeves and a chapel train, and was adorned with crystal beading and sequins.

The honor attendants, Christina Porter and Steph Helkenn, wore black gowns.

Best man was Zachary Quillen, and groomsmen were Daniel Banks, Jamie Deitz and Jeff Neitzke. Junior usher was Christian Porter.

The bride graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s of music in voice performance and is pursuing a master of divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary. She is employed at Advent Lutheran Church and will be chapel minister at the seminary beginning in August.

The groom graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s of music in performance and education from the University of Akron and received a master’s in music performance from Yale University. He is a member of So Percussion and artistic director of the New York University Steel Drum Band.
