In front of a crowd of mostly kids from summer camps, Detroit took control midway in the second period and cruised to a 10-0 home record. Ford and Humphrey were the only Shock players to reach double figures. Guards Katie Smith and Deanna Nolan combined for just 12 points on 5-for-17 shooting. Jia Perkins of the Sky led all scorers with 26 points, and Candice Dupree had 12.

Dream 81, Fever 77

INDIANAPOLIS — Iziane Castro Marques scored 24 points to lead the Dream to their third win of the season. Betty Lennox scored 11 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, and former Indiana center Alison Bales added eight points and 11 rebounds for the expansion Dream (3-19). Atlanta has won three of its last five games after an 0-17 start. Indiana forward Tamika Catchings had 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists before re-injuring her right heel with 6:46 left in the fourth quarter.
