Mahoning Valley Hospital sold

BOARDMAN — The Mahoning Valley Hospital Board of Trustees has agreed to sell the hospital to Progressive Healthcare, a for-profit company with headquarters in Charleston, S.C. The purchase price and details will be disclosed after the sale is completed, which is anticipated in mid-October, said Michael S. Senchak, Mahoning Valley Hospital’s president and chief executive officer.

The sale, which is expected to be finalized on Oct. 14, is subject to approval by the Ohio Attorney General.

Progress Healthcare was one of three companies that responded to Mahoning Valley Hospital’s request for proposals that was sent to five companies, Senchak said.
