Rick was born in 1962 as a spastic quadriplegic, cerebral palsy, nonspeaking person.

Dick recently retired as a lieutenant colonel in the air national guard and served the country for more than 35 years.

Dick pushes, pulls and bikes his son Rick in marathons, triathlons and Ironman competitions.

Team Hoyt started racing in 1977 and still competes today.

The team has completed 958 events.

The Hoyt Foundation Inc. strives to integrate the physically challenged into everyday life and aims to enhance the lives and mobility of people with disabilities.

Team Hoyt does one-hour motivation speeches with the inspirational message of “Yes You Can.”
