Trustees seek applicants for zoning panel
STAFF REPORT
CANFIELD — Township trustees announced that they are still accepting r sum s for the zoning commission seat, which was vacated when Richard A. Puerner was appointed to the board after Paul Moracco’s resignation.
The position of township road superintendent and construction projects manager that Moracco applied for after his resignation — a position that Moracco voted to create while still a trustee — also is something that trustee chairman Randy Brashen would like to see filled as soon as possible.
“We need that position filled, but we’re so gun-shy about proceeding that we’re making our attorney hold our hand,” Brashen said. “We did nothing illegal, but we did something that looked bad, and the public is still upset.”
Brashen added that the position will most likely be filled by one of the other three applicants who were interviewed.
