ODOT making sign changes on Routes 625/170 tonight
BOARDMAN — Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 will begin work tonight to make signing changes on state routes 625 and 170.
Route 625 will continue to run north from U.S. Route 224 along Lockwood and Arden Boulevards but will now end at the intersection of U.S. Route 62 (Canfield Road) and Arden, just west of Mill Creek Park.
Previously, Route 625 extended east all the way to Interstate 680.
Route 170 will remain on its current route east and south of I-680 but will now be extended west from I-680 along Midlothian Boulevard then north on Glenwood Avenue and end at the intersection of Route 62 and Glenwood. This extension of Route 170 is along the former routing of Route 625.
Various lane restrictions will occur on southbound I-680 (just 1-1/2 miles north of the Midlothian interchange beginning at 11:30 p.m. today.
Once the southbound side of I-690 work is completed, ODOT traffic crews will have various lane restrictions on northbound I-680. These restrictions are expected to continue until 7 a.m. Thursday and all restrictions and sign work will be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday.
