X CHARLESTON, S.C. — Renny Wilmer and his bride, the former Christie Lynn Massie, have returned from Punta Mita, Mexico, and live at 2512 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. They were married at 4:30 p.m. April 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church and were honored during a reception at Charleston Place Hotel.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Massie, 3860 Villa Rosa Drive, Canfield, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Wilmer IV, 2218 N. Kensington St., Arlington, Va.

The bride’s strapless ivory silk sheath was trimmed with pearls and Swarovski crystals.

Berry-pink dresses were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Melissa Mick, and the bridesmaids, Ingrid Lassiter, Anna Masczak, April Bixell, Amy Stagnaro, Ann Moss, Shelly Murphy and April Stevenson.

Kevin Williams was best man, and groomsmen were Christopher Wilmer, the groom’s brother; Stephan Loundermon; Ben Arnold; Brian Gillespie; John Bartlett, his cousin; Barry Mick, the bride’s brother-in-law; and Steve Rovnak, her cousin. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Colin Mick.

The bride graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree and is director of retail sales at Pepsi Bottling Group in Richmond. The groom, a district manager for Phillip Morris USA in Richmond, earned a bachelor’s degree at George Mason University, a master’s in education at the University of Virginia and a master’s in business administration at Duke University.
