Alzheimer’s Association plans kickoff for walk

POLAND — Alzheimer’s Association has scheduled a community kickoff event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. July 30 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 W. McKinley Way, for anyone interested in participating in the 2008 Memory Walk on Sept. 6.

Those attending will receive details about the walk, share fund-raising ideas and organize teams. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

On Sept. 6, registration for Memory Walk ’08 will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Kenneth McMahon Hall in Mill Creek MetroParks, Canfield, with the walk getting under way at 9:30.
