Marshals arrest murder suspect in Ga.

YOUNGSTOWN — The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Aaron Sherrod on Monday afternoon in the Atlanta suburb of Rex, Ga., where he was hiding from Ohio law enforcement.
Sherrod was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department in the Nov. 18, 2007, shooting death of James Dow on Youngstown’s North Side.
Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force had been seeking Sherrod and had recently developed information that he was in the Atlanta area. This information was passed to the marshals in Atlanta, who located and apprehended the suspect.
“This is one of the great benefits of having the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. No matter where a fugitive may try to run or hide, we will work together to find them and bring them back to justice,” said Drew Deserto, assistant chief deputy U.S. marshal.
