Monday's Best Bets on TV

“Emeril Green” (8 p.m., Planet Green): Emeril Lagasse’s gone green! The renowned chef is starring in a new series, “Emeril Green,” on the new Planet Green cable channel. On each episode, Lagasse assists cooking-impaired individuals in selecting the best foods, then preparing them for a wholesome meal. For example, he helps ballroom dancer Marnie prepare a meal from several types of fish. On another edition, he offers some pointers to Valerie, who loves steak but doesn’t know which cut to buy, much less how to cook it.

“The Closer” (9 p.m., TNT): Krya Sedgwick returns for the fourth season of “The Closer,” and the cases aren’t getting any easier for homicide detective Brenda Johnson. In the opener, she investigates the death of a woman whose body is discovered at the scene of a massive wildfire in Los Angeles.

“Saving Grace” (10 p.m., TNT): You might think the title character played with aplomb by Holly Hunter in “Saving Grace” might undergo a little softening in Season 2. But the producers say no way. So expect even more edgy exploits for the troubled Oklahoma City cop and more challenges for her guardian angel.
