Simcoxes’ 50th to be celebrated with party, trip

X NEW SPRINGFIELD — John and Sarah Simcox of New Springfield are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

Mr. Simcox and the former Sarah Davis were married July 18, 1958, at the Baptist church in Cannelton, Pa.

The couple have three daughters, Debbie Bable of New Springfield, Denise Simcox of Tallmadge, and Christine (Al) Breinz of Columbiana. Rounding out the family are their four grandchildren, Sarah and Rachael Bable and Alec and Lexi Breinz.

A private family dinner will honor the couple in the coming weeks. A return trip to Niagara Falls, their honeymoon site, is also planned.

The couple are retired. Mr. Simcox, a son of Dorothy Simcox Brumbaugh and the late Francis Simcox, was an operating engineer. Mrs. Simcox, a daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Davis, was a nurse for Forum Health.
