For Kinnicks’ 50th, they are honored at a dinner party

X AUSTINTOWN — George J. and Mary Alyce Kinnick, 3432 Black Oak Court, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party July 12 at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield

Just before the party, the couple renewed their vows during a Mass at St. Brendan Church, where they have been members for 43 years.

Hosts of the party were the couple’s children, Tom and Tina Kinnick of Boardman, Judy and Mike Getsy of Columbiana, Jim and Tina Kinnick of Austintown, and Bill and Donna Kinnick of Twinsburg.

The family includes eight grandchildren, Jillian, Jessica, Jacalyn, Jimmy and Emily Kinnick, and Elizabeth, Jennifer and Laura Getsy.

On July 12, 1958, Mr. Kinnick and the former Mary Alyce Casey were married at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Kinnick retired in 1993 from the City of Youngstown Park Department, where she was a secretary. She is active in several St. Brendan parish organizations.

Mr. Kinnick, who has been a funeral director in the area for 46 years, is president of Kinnick Funeral Home Inc. and is a funeral director there. He participates in several professional and civic organizations. Mr. Kinnick is an Army veteran who served in the 77th Special Forces from 1954 to 1956.
