Budays and family celebrate 50th with Mass, dinner

X BOARDMAN — John and Rosalie Buday of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with a Mass at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.

Afterward, they were the guests of honor at a family dinner at the Avalon Inn, Warren. A trip to the Jersey Shore and an anniversary cruise at a later date are being planned.

Joining in the celebration were their daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Buday of Denver and Gretchen and John Kuhns of Canfield, along with the couple’s four grandchildren.

The former Rosalie Chismar and John Buday were married May 10, 1958, at St. Matthias Church, where they are members.

Mrs. Buday works part time for Accountemps & Kelly Services.

Mr. Buday retired in 1984 from Republic Steel Corp., where he was a tool and die foreman. He had also worked at Stambaugh’s and the church.
