X TAMPA, Fla. — Westin Harbour Island Hotel was the setting at 7 p.m. April 11 for the wedding of Michele J. Shobel and Steven P. Elia, both of 12502 Ashdown Drive.

The Rev. Tom Greene officiated for the daughter of Richard and Patricia Shobel, 4627 Warwick S. Drive, Canfield, and the son of Lonino and Marie Elia, 122 Pine Valley Drive, Rochester, N.Y.

A reception followed at the hotel.

After a honeymoon cruise to the southern Caribbean, the couple live in Tampa.

Crystals and beading enhanced the bride’s white satin gown.

Wearing black gowns were the honor attendant, Alisa Perren, and the bridesmaids, Jeana Sabatine; Shannon Beach; Jennifer Rey, a sister of the groom; Laynna Elia, the groom’s niece; and Connie Super. Flower girl was Ariana Krolick.

The duties of best man were performed by Alan Krolick, and groomsmen were Steven Krolick, Joseph Kendrick, David Hencher and Mark Kohlmeir. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Giovanni Rey, and ushers were Tony DeOerio and Chuck Richards.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in dental hygiene.

The groom is the co-owner of Modern Enterprise Solutions Inc. in Tampa. He earned a degree in business at the University of South Florida.
