Liberty Presbyterian honors 2 members


LIBERTY — Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, honored its 2008 Man and Woman of the Year during the annual family dinner June 22.

Kathy Foltz, last year’s honoree, recognized Barbara Cataline as this year’s award recipient. A member of the church since 2003, Cataline has served as a deacon for four years and taught Sunday school.

In the community, she has been involved in Girl Scouts and been a support of her children’s sporting events.

She and her husband, Jeff, have two children.

Roy Infante, the 2007 honoree, introduced Ray Harris, this year’s man of the year. Harris has been a member at Liberty Presbyterian since 1955, was ordained an elder in 1967 and deacon in 1962. He has taught Sunday school and was a youth group leader.

His family includes three children. His wife, Gail, is deceased. Harris retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube and Stambaugh Thompson.

Tia Ciferno, songwriter, singer and author from Warren, performed.
