X CANFIELD — A honeymoon at St. Lucia followed the Dec. 29, 2007, wedding of Katie Rose Gries of Worthington and Matthew Alan Gray of Hilliard, who exchanged nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Michael Church.

The Rev. Richard Murphy officiated for the daughter of Judy Gries of Youngstown and the son of Alan and Shirley Gray of Mansfield, and a reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

The bride’s strapless diamond-white taffeta A-line gown featured a sweetheart neckline, corset back and a tiered skirt that swept into a chapel train.

Black gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Kerri Kornbau, and the bridesmaids, Shanna Glenellen, her cousin; Michelle Terpak; and Leslie Stephenson. Flower girl was the groom’s niece, Savannah Gray.

David Gray served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Joe Rivera, Brian Szudio, and Max Eckenwiler. Ushers were the groom’s brothers, Mark and A.J. Gray.

The bride graduated from Walsh University in North Canton with a degree in corporate communications and graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a degree in early childhood education. She is a substitute teacher with Hilliard City Schools.

The groom, a financial adviser with Wachovia Securities in Columbus, graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in accounting.

The Grays live in Hilliard.
