Pavlik close to fight with welterweight champ

It looks like Kelly Pavlik will fight WBO welterweight champ Paul Williams in a middleweight title bout on Sept. 27 in Atlantic City on HBO.

Pavlik's promoter, Top Rank Boxing chairman Bob Arum, said it's "very, very close." Williams' camp still has to agree to the fight, as does Pavlik and his managers.
