Girard water line break fixed

GIRARD — A Girard city service crew fixed a leaking water line Thursday morning, though water pressure was low during the repairs. Hydrants had to be opened so that leaking 10-inch line could be fixed. Jerry Lambert, service director for the city, said the water surfaced at around 7 a.m. and that a crew was able to fix the leak in about 2 and a half hours. The leak sprung at North St. Clair Avenue between Main and Kline streets affected an area from Churchill Road to Morris Avenue and from Ward Avenue through downtown.
