‘Impossible’ to see inside Jolie’s hospital room

PARIS — The hospital where Angelina Jolie will give birth says it has covered the windows of her room with a special material to prevent paparazzi from taking pictures of the actress and her partner, Brad Pitt.

The Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France said Wednesday that photos that claim to show Jolie and Pitt in her room are fakes that have been manipulated or show other patients.

In a statement, the hospital said it is “totally impossible” to see inside the room from the outside due to a material on the windows that camera lenses cannot see through.

The statement wasn’t specific but hospital spokeswoman Nadine Bauer said she believed the material was a type of film. She said it was put on especially for Jolie.

“So any pictures released are either posed fakes set up by paparazzi or they are pictures of other patients,” the hospital said. “We hope this is clearly understood out of respect for all patients in this clinic.”

Jolie is expecting twins. She has been resting and is being monitored by doctors in the seaside hospital ahead of the birth.

Psychiatrist at trial sides with Christie Brinkley

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. — A court-appointed psychiatrist took the stand at Christie Brinkley’s divorce trial and added a dispassionate, but intimate viewpoint to a case piled high with dirty laundry.

The psychiatrist, Dr. Stephen Herman, said the model needs to examine her taste in men and that her husband, architect Peter Cook, is a narcissist with a bottomless ego. But between them, Brinkley should get custody of their two children, Herman said Tuesday.

Brinkley was cool to the idea of therapy. “I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of psychotherapy. I believe there are other ways to deal with this,” Brinkley testified Tuesday. But she added that she “would do whatever it takes to convince the court” to grant her custody of the children, 10 and 13.

Cook has admitted having an affair with a teenager who worked in his office and spending thousands of dollars on Internet pornography.

Jamie Lynn Spears poses with baby for mag cover

NEW YORK — Weeks after giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann, Jamie Lynn Spears is showing off the newborn, sharing memories of a “perfect” delivery and longing to be a Southern soccer mom.

Spears and fianc Casey Aldridge welcomed Maddie at a hospital in McComb, Miss., on June 19. The younger sister of Britney Spears poses with her on the cover of OK! magazine — as expected, given the fact that Spears announced her pregnancy through an article in OK! and reportedly was to receive a large payday for exclusive pictures of the baby.

The photos were taken at the pair’s Louisiana home. The magazine does not comment on the terms of its deals with celebrities.

In an interview with OK!, the 17-year-old Jamie Lynn said she had been nervous about giving birth “but it all fell into place. I was right on schedule. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed.”
