Slovenefest set for this weekend in Pa.

SNPJ, Pa. — The borough will host the annual Slovenefest celebration beginning at noon Friday.
The weekend event, considered the world’s biggest celebration of Slovenian culture, is sponsored by the Slovene National Benefit Society. It will be at the SNPJ Recreation Center grounds, 270 Martin Road in Enon Valley.
Twenty-five of the region’s top polka bands, along with three special guests from the Republic of Slovenia, will perform music continuously throughout the three days.
The Miss SNPJ Pageant begins at noon Friday.
A three-day pass is available for $25. Otherwise, admission is $8 on Friday and $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Children under 16 are admitted free. Parking is free.
