Sewing guild sets event

WARREN — Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is sponsoring an all-day seminar, trunk show and luncheon from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 9. at Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St.

The event will feature Patty Dunn, nationally known sewing educator, designer and television personality. She will demonstrate techniques for changing a basic pattern and embellishing and creating your own trims. This will be an educational day for any skill level of quilting, garment and home decor sewing.

The cost is $11 for members and $18 for nonmembers, and the reservation deadline is July 21. For more information, call (330) 847-8757.
