Mahoning Co. Planning Commission OKs lot sale for Westford in Canfield

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Planning Commission gave the approval today to CTW Development to sell lots for the construction of homes in a new development called Winstead Crossing, located within the Westford Lifestyle Community in Canfield.

The Westford Community is visible off U.S. Route 224, behind Wendy’s and Panera Bread.

There are already about 10 reservations for lots in the new development, which has a total of 39 available, said Chuck Whitman, president of CTM Development.

Winstead Crossing will be a gated community of single-family homes costing near $400,000 and is one of eight housing developments slated to be part of the 400-acre Westford complex, which includes Kennsington Golf Course and a retail/office complex.

A groundbreaking ceremony will most likely take place within two weeks, Whitman said.
