Karla Bell to wed Nicholas Plantan in fall ceremony

X Tom and Glenda Golec of Poland and Jim and Mary Jo Bell of North Canton are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Karla Rae Bell, and Nicholas James Plantan, a son of Jim and Jo Plantan of Bloomington, Minn.

Miss Bell earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Notre Dame and is an advanced manufacturing technology engineer at 3M in St. Paul, Minn.

Mr. Plantan also graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a degree in marketing. He is a senior business analyst at Target Corp. in Minneapolis.

The couple will issue invitations for the wedding they have planned for September at Poland United Methodist Church and for an evening reception at St. Mary’s Social Hall in Youngstown.
