Warren Township crash temporarily closes U.S. 422

WARREN — A section of U.S. Route 422 at State Route 5 was closed for about five hours this morning when a tractor-trailer tuck hauling metal crank shafts overturned on the Route 5 exit ramp in Warren Township.

The truck was described as going too fast for the westbound exit ramp curve and went off the side of the exit ramp before overturning onto Route 422 at about 4:20 a.m. Both lanes of Route 422 were closed.

The road was reopened at about 9:30 a.m. after the vehicle was removed.

The driver, Ronald Jaquess, 52, of Toledo, suffered minor injures and was treated at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital and released. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control of the vehicle.
