Carnival is fundraiser for mission trip

BOARDMAN — Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road (next to Burlington) has planned a carnival for July 19.

The event will feature activities for the entire family, including a Cruise In, a Chinese basket raffle, a 50-50 raffle, games with prizes, clowns and face painting.

There will also be a bake sale, concessions offering hot dogs, sloppy joes, pop and water, and a trash and treasure sale.

Proceeds from the carnival will fund a mission trip for church members who will travel to New Orleans, where they will assist members of the Disciples Mission Station in rebuilding private residences damaged by Hurricane Katrina two years ago.
