Scrappers win, 8-1, in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Juan Valdes hit a two-run homer and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers scored five runs without a hit in the seventh inning, to defeat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 8-1, in a New York-Penn League game Monday.
