Saturday night: The Hartford native finished 19th in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway before an estimated crowd of 125,000. Despite the good finish Blaney dropped a spot in the driver standings, to 31st place. He was overtaken by Robby Gordon — who finished sixth Saturday night — for the 30th spot, and trails Gordon by 15 points.

Next: NASCAR’s Sprint Cup series goes to Chicagoland Speedway Saturday night for the Lifelock 400. Television coverage (TNT) is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. with the green flag dropping at 8.
