Parents announce engagement of Miss Fond, Mr. Lima

X The engagement of Amanda Marie Fond, 5801 Nicholson Lane, North Bethesda, Md., and David Michael Lima, 524 South Potomac, Baltimore, is announced by their parents, Vincent Jr. and Rene Fond, 7404 Bedford Road, Hubbard, and Ken and Susan Lima, 208 Ticino Court, New Bern, N.C.

Miss Fond graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and received her doctorate in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She is a postdoctoral research chemist with the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Md.

Mr. Lima is a 24-hour trader with Constellation Energy in Baltimore. He graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in finance.

The couple are completing plans for their June 13, 2009, wedding at St. Patrick's Church in Hubbard and for a reception to take place at the Avalon at Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pa.
