October wedding set by Miss Banna and Mr. Clancy


X Kelly Marie Banna, 1816 Mepkin Road, Charleston, S.C., and T.J. Clancy, 906 Dougherty St., Wichita, Kan., are announcing their engagement and plans for their autumn wedding.

The couple have chosen Oct. 19 as the date for their wedding at Charles Towne Landing in Charleston. Invitations will be issued for the 5 p.m. ceremony and for a reception to follow at The Citadel Beach House in Isle of Palms, S.C.

The bride-elect is a daughter of the late Nazih and Patricia Banna, who had lived in Boardman. The prospective groom is a son of Elizabeth Clancy, 21 Highpointe Drive, Queensburg, N.Y., and the late Thomas Clancy.

Miss Banna graduated with a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and earned her master’s degree and doctorate at Auburn University in Alabama. She is a postdoctoral scholar at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Mr. Clancy is a captain with the U.S. Air Force at Robins Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan. He graduated from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston with a bachelor’s degree.
