Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Chizmar honored by family on anniversary

X SALEM — The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Chizmar, 7670 W. Pine Lake Road, was celebrated July 5 during a family gathering at Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana.

Hosts for the observance were their daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Robert Zwingler Jr. of Greenford, and their daughter, Lori C. Simmons of Washington.

Also participating were their three grandchildren, Ryan Zwingler, Natalie Zwingler, and Chad Zwingler and his wife, Alyson, and their great-granddaughter, Payton Marie Zwingler.

Mr. Chizmar and the former Patricia A. O’Block were united in marriage July 5, 1958, at St. Paul Church, where they are members.

Mrs. Chizmar was an elementary-school teacher with South Range School District in North Lima prior to retiring in 1997. She is a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and Mahoning Retired Teachers Association.

Mr. Chizmar served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a boilermaker with U.S. Steel Ohio Works in Youngstown until retiring in 1978. He is a member of American Legion Post 290.

The Chizmars are members of Alliance Area Senior Citizens.
