X Austintown Chapter 4339, AARP, will meet for an annual picnic Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road. Lunch will be at 1 p.m., and games and drawings will follow.

The following tours are scheduled: a mystery trip Aug. 20; a trip to New England in October, and a trip to Pittsburgh on Nov. 18 for dinner at The Castle and to the Hartwood Christmas Display. The board will meet Aug. 18 at the church.

GIRARD

X Board members of Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. The business meeting will follow at 11. July birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. The program will be presented by Ms. Ann Penman, who will tell about women pilots serving in World War II. Members are urged to take canned goods for the Emmanuel Center.

golden pillars X An 11 a.m. liturgy will precede Tuesday’s noon meeting of the Golden Pillars at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, Belle Vista Avenue. Eleanor Hnat will preside, birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and bingo and cards will be played. Members are asked to take their own place setting.

XUFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will not meet in July. The next meeting will be a picnic at 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at Boardman Township Park. X An annual picnic for the Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10 of Mahoning and Columbiana Counties will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Masters Pavilion in Boardman Township Park. All retirees and DROP participants of the Ohio Police and Fire Disability and Pension Fund in the two counties, their spouses or survivors are welcome. Members are asked to take a casserole.
