X BOARDMAN — The marriage of Erica Anne Mihok of Boardman and Scott Robert Galvin of Ann Arbor, Mich., was solemnized by the Rev. Shawn Conoboy and Deacon Michael Kocjancic at 1:30 p.m. May 17 at St. Charles Church.

The daughter of Dr. Gerald and Andrea Mihok of Boardman and the son of Michael and Deborah Meder of Mentor and the late Thomas Galvin were honored at a reception at The Embassy in Youngstown before leaving for a honeymoon in St. Lucia.

Cafe-colored lace and gold beading enhanced the bride’s gown. It featured spaghetti straps and a cathedral train.

The honor attendants, Tonya McClain, the bride’s sister, and Stephanie Jarbeck, wore turquoise-colored gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Michelle Mihok and Jennifer Mihok, her sisters-in-law; Adrienne Fox; Jennifer Jarabek; Kate Morgan; and Lisa Straight. Flower girls were Alexis, Mikayla and Abigail Mihok, nieces of the bride.

Kevin Galvin was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Sean McClain, the bride's brother-in-law; Brian and Jeffery Mihok, her brothers; Ryan Fox; Kevin Raico; Paul Dinehart; and Paul Butto. The bride’s nephew, Ethan McClain, was the bell ringer.

The bride, a multimedia journalist with the New Castle News, graduated from Kent State University with a degree in photojournalism. A staff photographer at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the groom also earned a degree in photojournalism at KSU.
