X YOUNGSTOWN — Christine Rovnak, 1877-A Moonlit Trail, Akron, and Nicholas Dean, 3897 Jones Road, Diamond, were married in a 1 p.m. ceremony May 31 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church by the Rev. Nicholas Mancini.

The daughter of Thomas and Janice Rovnak, 3608 Beechwood Place, and the son of Eddie and Joanne Dean, of the Jones Road address, were honored afterward at a reception at The Embassy.

After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside at the Akron address.

The bride, who earned a nursing degree at Youngstown State University, is a registered nurse for Akron General Medical Center.

The groom, who is pursuing a degree in construction management at Kent State University, works for Rock Concrete in Ravenna.

The bride wore a white halter-style gown trimmed with lace and beads.

Amanda Geise was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Marie Rovnak, cousin of the bride; Caroline Ferenchak; Stefanie Pryor; Rene Meadows; and Lisa Miller. The bride wore turquoise and Tiffany blue gowns. Kaitlyn Rovnak, the bride’s niece, was the flower girl.

Best man was Kyle Dean, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were John Rovnak, brother of the bride; Nick Lam; and Chris Pratt, Johnny Brown and Steven Sapp, cousins of the groom. Alex Rovnak, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer, and her brothers Tommy and Robert Rovnak served as ushers.
