Robbery: Police charged a 50-year-old Youngstown woman with one count of robbery after a worker with Sears in the Southern Park Mall reported being kicked as he tried to detain a shoplifter accused of stealing $302 worth of clothing.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s rear window was smashed in the 6400 block of Tara Drive, resulting in a $500 damage estimate.
Theft: A Girard woman reported $42 taken as she shopped at a Boardman-Canfield Road store.
Theft: Someone removed the security features on six boxes of software at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 31, was charged, accused of changing the price tags on $82 worth of merchandise at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, so as to pay the lower amount.
Criminal damaging: A 26-year-old Boardman woman at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, faced six counts of criminal damaging when, last September, several vehicles in the 7400 block of West Boulevard were vandalized.
Arrest: A traffic stop near Afton Avenue led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Struthers man wanted on a charge of obstructing official business.
Vandalism: A man’s driver’s-side window was broken in the 1200 block of Boardman-Poland Road. Damage came to $200.
Attempted breaking and entering: A worker for Allcare Dental Dentures, 930 Boardman-Poland Road, found the lock to a side door damaged, evidently after someone tried to enter.

Theft: A vehicle’s rear license plate was removed in the 70 block of Lemans Drive.
Theft: An employee for a South Avenue business reported the theft of a debit card, two credit cards and a gift card while at work.
Theft: A 19-year-old Youngstown woman was charged after being accused of concealing $81.66 worth of shoes, DVDs and cosmetics at Wal-Mart.
Menacing: A Struthers woman, 24, surrendered to authorities and was charged. Earlier, an employee with a Boardman-Canfield Road business reported being threatened by a co-worker.

Fraud: A Lost Creek Drive man learned that someone accessed his checking account when he discovered 15 transactions totaling $1,185 that he never made.
Assault: A 16-year-old North Lima boy was charged after police said he admitted pushing and punching a student seven or eight times in the chest in a restroom at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.
Auto theft: A Lisbon man’s 1990 Olds vehicle was stolen in the 7400 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A Rosewood Drive man reported roughly $5,500 worth of jewelry stolen from his residence.
Theft: A vehicle’s rear license plate was removed at a Tiffany Boulevard motel.
Auto theft: A Boardman man discovered his 2001 Ford Explorer stolen from his Boardman-Canfield Road home.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Stadler Court reported damage to her mailbox.
Theft: A man who was to cut grass in the 7800 block of Market Street reported his $480 lawn mower missing.
Theft: An Afton Avenue man accused a friend of taking his lawn mower and weed trimmer.
Theft: A 16-year-old Phoenix girl was charged with taking $62 worth of makeup from Wal-Mart.
Criminal damaging: Austintown police handed to Boardman authorities a 19-year-old Austintown man wanted on a criminal-damaging charge. In April, a driver reported his vehicle’s passenger-side window was smashed when he was stopped near U.S. Route 224 and Southern Boulevard.
June 29
Theft: A Struthers man, 31, was charged, accused of taking six steaks valued at a total of $83 from Cochran’s Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave.
Domestic violence: Officers took into custody a 22-year-old Terrace Drive woman at her home after a man alleged she became enraged and waved a knife at him, cutting the accuser’s finger, during an argument.
Drugs: A 51-year-old Youngstown man was charged with receiving stolen property as well as possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia after police said the license plates on his car had been stolen in Texas. He also admitted having a small bag of suspected crack cocaine, they added.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 5900 block of Tippecanoe Drive reported damage to a lamp post on his rear deck.
Drugs: A Boardman man, 49, faced two counts of drug abuse after police responded to a vehicular accident near Shields Road and Sheban Drive. The man removed from a sock a bag containing two Vicodin and nine Valium tablets and had no prescription, the report said.
Menacing: An Erskine Avenue woman told authorities two people threatened her during an argument about an all-terrain vehicle being driven on the road.
Theft: An employee with a Market Street eatery reported the theft of an undisclosed amount of money.
Theft: A Mathews Road man reported two speakers and an amplifier stolen.

Assault: A Carter Circle woman sought medical treatment for black-and-blue marks as well as redness to her throat after telling police a man kicked her and grabbed and choked her from behind.
