Rodeo shows to honor America

LISBON — Hoppel’s Rodeo plans to honor America and Independence Day in grand fashion this weekend with a 10-flag horseback salute by the Glory Riders.

Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Hoppel’s Arena, 40891 state Route 518. Veterans will be admitted free Friday with any form of military identification.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchase in advance at Giant Eagles in Calcutta, East Liverpool and Salem, and the Sparkle Market in East Palestine.

The Glory Riders are Michaelyee Livlini of Negley, Bruce and Barb Barrett and Randy and Connie Hoppel of East Liverpool, Gary Booth of New Waterford, Sharon Ruberto of Lisbon, Stacy Roth of Minerva, Telese Blaseman of Burgettstown, Pa., and Pete Gillette of Ocala, Pa. The group will join Monica Allison, the Rodeo Queen of the Cowboy Up Youth Rodeo Association.
