Trains bump in Salem, cars knocked off track

SALEM — Several railroad cars were knocked off the Norfolk and Southern track at about 9:15 p.m. today when a slow-moving train hit a stopped train from the rear. Salem police said there was no damage and no injuries, and that the derailed cars just need to be lifted back on the tracks. The collision occurred between South Lincoln Avenue and Allen Road.
