McDonald school board has new member

McDONALD — Joan Bako Miles, a retired McDonald High School teacher, was appointed by the McDonald Board of Education to fill the unexpired term of the late Atty. William Roux.

Miles, who taught business classes at the high school and was National Honor Society adviser, was selected from nine applicants during a special board meeting Wednesday.

Roux died unexpectedly June 10 and had served on the school board for 25 years.
