Austintown church to host grocery program

AUSTINTOWN — Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Road, will be a host site for a program to help lessen the cost of groceries.

The Angel Food Blessing-in-a-Box program gives people a chance to spend significantly less money for their food products. The cost for the service is $30 per unit for $75 worth of groceries. Groceries include meats, fruits, vegetables and more.

According to a release from Cheryl Balciar, coordinator of Angel Food at Crossroads Church, there are no income restrictions of guidelines. Pre-Pay and Pre-Order Ohio Direction Cards are accepted.

Orders for the July menu will be taken on these dates: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday; 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. next Wednesday; 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. July 12; and 9:30-11 a.m. July 14.

The food for these orders will be distributed July 26 at the church.
