They are charged with kidnapping, felonious assault and aggravated burglary.

CAMPBELL — Six additional men were arraigned Tuesday in municipal court in the kidnapping and beating last week of a 32-year-old Austintown man in a Blossom Avenue home.

That brings to seven the total charged with kidnapping, felonious assault and aggravated burglary in the episode, which occurred between midnight and 1 a.m.

Seth M. Leach, his hands and feet bound with duct tape, was beaten and kicked. He spent several days in St. Elizabeth Health Center recovering from injuries, which include a jaw broken in two places and multiple cuts and bruises, before being released last weekend.

Police said Leach was visiting the occupant of the Blossom Avenue home, the former wife of one of the men charged. Five men forced their way into the home just after midnight, beat and kicked Leach, then bound his hands and feet. At that point, two more men came in and beat and kicked Leach.

All arraigned Tuesday posted bond, ranging from $2,500 cash to $100,000 surety bond. All are out of jail except Brandon T. Dotson, 25, of Selma Ave., Youngstown. The others are:

-Joseph R. Perry Sr., 61, of Tenney Avenue, Campbell.

-Joseph R. Perry Jr., 39, of Peters Drive, Campbell.

-Anthony Scandy Jr., 38, of Calla Road, Poland.

-James C. Riley III, 24, of Harold Lane, Campbell.

-Richard Michaels, 38, of West Hampton Drive, Youngstown.

Arraigned previously was Mark A. Siemianski, 25, of South Navarre Avenue, Austintown.

The two Perrys are the former husband and father-in-law of the woman who lives at the Blossom home where the attack took place, and according to police reports, had warned Leach to stay away from her and her children.

Police say, however, they are still trying to determine why the other five men were involved. Police said they will be taking formal statements in the next few days and did not rule out more arrests.
