5 more to be arraigned in beating
STAFF REPORT
CAMPBELL — Five more men were expected to be arraigned today in municipal court on charges of kidnapping, aggravated burglary and felonious assault for the severe beating of a Struthers man at a home here.
Their identities will be revealed at the court hearing, police said.
That would bring to six the total charged in the June 24 assault, which left Seth M. Leach, 32, of Ayrshire Drive, with a jaw broken in two places and multiple cuts and bruises.
Leach’s hands and feet were bound with duct tape and he was beaten and kicked. He was in St. Elizabeth Health Center for several days before being released over the weekend. The assault occurred at 342 Blossom Ave.
The first person charged in the incident, which even police have described as bizarre, is Mark A. Siemianski, 25, of South Navarre Avenue, Austintown, who was arraigned in municipal court last week on charges of kidnapping, aggravated burglary and felonious assault.
Arrested on June 25, he was freed on 10 percent of a $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 22.
At least two more people may be arrested for their alleged roles in the beating, police said Monday.
