HMHP names hospital chief
Finizio serves on the boards of directors of several community organizations.
WARREN — John Finizio has been named president of St. Joseph Health Center by Humility of Mary Health Partners, the hospital’s parent company.
Finizio’s most recent position with HMHP was senior vice president of business development and interim president and chief executive officer of the HMHP Development Foundation.
His responsibilities included strategic planning, physician network development, public policy and advocacy, business development, marketing and public relations and fund development.
“John has a proven track record of system growth and improvements, and we look forward to his future at St. Joseph,” said Robert Shroder, HMHP president and CEO.
Within the community, Finizio serves on the board of directors of several organizations, including the Better Business Bureau of Mahoning Valley, Turning Point Counseling Services, Leadership Mahoning Valley and the Wick Neighbors.
A graduate of Youngstown State University, Finizio holds a master’s degree in finance and a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
He and his wife, Angela, live in Poland. They have two adult children, John III of Columbus and Rachelle Psznick of Stow.
St. Joseph is a 219-bed inpatient facility with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including a Level III trauma center and an American Osteopathic Association-accredited internship and residency medical education program through Ohio University.
