Friends, family and others in the community came together for a candlelight vigil Wednesday night on Youngstown's Evergreen Avenue in honor of the four young people murdered a year ago.

YOUNGSTOWN — Clutching candles in memory of their loved ones, about 100 family and friends of the four young people killed in a vacant house on West Evergreen Avenue on Jan. 29, 2007, crowded the street and sidewalk in front of the house.

The crowd, including concerned citizens, attended a candlelight vigil tonight in memory of Danielle Parker, 22, Anthony Crockett, 23, Christopher Howard, 24, and Marvin Boone, 19. Tuesday marked the one-year anniversary of the quadruple homicide that remains unsolved.

“It’s time for people in this community to stop killing each other, stop fighting each other and to start loving each other,” said Brenda Parker, the mother of Danielle Parker.
